A Corteiz x Nike Collaboration Could Be Coming - HYPEBEAST

2 months ago 29

London-based streetwear brand Corteiz is launching its first major brand collaboration with Nike.

Last night, the emblem of the London-based streetwear label Corteiz took over the front of Niketown in the center of the capital, suggesting that a collaboration between Corteiz and Nike could be en route.

Those who saw the Corteiz Alcatraz logo on the front of Oxford Street’s most famous store were quick to post it online, with the main suspicions being that it was another one of Clint419’s guerrilla marketing tactics. For example, the brand garnered mass attention following its Bolo Exchange and a 99p cargo drop, with both events sending fans into an utter frenzy.

However, after much speculation, it has now been confirmed that the move is an official collaboration with Nike.

Hand-in-hand with its exclusive marketing moves, Corteiz has proven to be the king of keeping its fans engaged. And while the styles — which usually stretch across tracksuits, T-shirts, outerwear, and accessories — usually retail for accessible prices, it hasn’t stopped them from garnering attention from the likes of Drake recently, who was seen wearing a recently-dropped “DA SKYDIVE” jacket on social media.

The collaboration between Corteiz and Nike is set to launch in the coming months, marking Corteiz’s biggest commercial move since the brand’s inception in 2017. So far, Clint419’s label has connected with fellow London-based streetwear label Soho Yacht Club, and Nigerian imprint, Motherlan, while working on clothing collaborations with UK rap stars Central Cee and Meekz.

Nike has declined to comment on further details on the collaboration, with the sportswear giant building on a slew of high-profile collaborations with the likes of Stüssy and Jacquemus.
