Nets vs. Bucks score: Live NBA playoff Game 7 updates as Kevin Durant, Giannis battle for spot in East finals - CBSSports.com

1 month ago 71

It all comes down to Saturday night. In what many tabbed as the most exciting series of the NBA playoffs, it certainly has not disappointed as the East heavyweight showdown between the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks will require a Game 7 to determine who advances into the conference finals. The Nets seek their first ECF appearance since 2003, while the Bucks look to make it back for the second time in three seasons. After a tight first quarter, Brooklyn is building a lead ahead of halftime.

This series has been dominated by the home team, which plays into Brooklyn's hands in Game 7. The Nets won Games 1, 2 and 5 at home; the Bucks took Games 3, 4 and 6 in Milwaukee. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. held serve on Thursday, but must snap the trend of road losses if they wish to advance. James Harden has returned for the Nets and continues to work his way back from an injured hamstring. Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving (ankle) remains out for Saturday's do-or-die contest.

durant is starting to heat up and the nets have pushed the lead up to eight

middleton and holiday are a combined 4 of 21 from the field. the bucks aren't going to win unless they can pick it up. actually probably a good sign for them that they're still within five despite them playing so poorly

giannis on the bench out of the timeout. he looked gassed. we'll see how the bucks do without him

36-33 nets at the timeout. nice little response there from the bucks to get back in the game after that nets run. we've seen them spiral before but they kept playing their game this time

durant airballs a three pointer and it goes right to bruce brown who kicks it out to blake for a three. huge swing there and the nets are up by 9. biggest lead of the game for them

28-25 nets at the end of the first quarter. bucks got pretty sloppy over the last few minutes and the nets took advantage to jump in front. giannis and durant each have 10 points to lead their respective teams

23-22 bucks as we go to timeout late in the first quarter. definitely feels like a game 7 so far

some really bad calls here. the technical on bruce brown. then brook lopez was called for a kick when he didn't make contact. and then pj tucker called for a foul when durant just lost the ball

Pinned

bruce brown gets a technical after it looked like he pushed giannis to the ground after a personal foul on the break. maybe gave him a little extra but not sure that warranted a tech in a game 7

harden obviously still not at 100 percent but he's been getting to the line early here which is a big boost for the nets

11-11 here at the first time out. two teams sort of felling each other out and have gone on some mini runs back and forth. bucks have hit three 3s already which is a good sign for them
