Chelsea are unlikely to splash any more cash in the January transfer window following their hefty summer spending spree.

Reports have emerged suggesting Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland is wanted by Blues chiefs, while West Ham midfielder Declan Rice remains a long-term target for the club.

But having strengthened their squad with £220million worth of new recruits in the previous transfer window, it is highly unlikely they will have the funds to move for either player this month

Nevertheless, that’s not to say there won’t be players heading for the Stamford Bridge exit, with a number of Chelsea outcasts being tipped to leave in January.

Daily Star Sport have picked out three players who could depart SW6 before the deadline passes.

Fikayo Tomori

For reasons which remain unclear, Tomori has been completely frozen out by Frank Lampard this season despite making an encouraging start to life in the senior ranks last term.

The 23-year-old centre-back is on the verge of sealing a loan move to AC Milan, and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims there will be a £27million option-to-buy clause included.

Marcos Alonso

Another defender given the cold shoulder by Lampard in 2020/21, the Spaniard has not featured since a reported bust-up with his manager after their 3-3 draw away at West Brom in September.

Alonso’s future in west London appears to be over, with Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan rumoured to be eyeing up a potential January deal.

Emerson Palmieri

Lampard currently has three left-backs at his disposal after forking out £50million to sign Ben Chilwell in the summer.

So in the event Alonso fails to earn a move away from Stamford Bridge this month, Chelsea officials could decide to cash in on Emerson instead.

The Italy international’s agent hinted at a potential Blues exit at the start of January and is said to be on Juventus’ radar.
