Coldplay have pledged to power the Wembley concerts' production with 100% solar, wind and kinetic energy

Coldplay have confirmed they will play eight UK concerts next summer, their only European dates for 2025 announced so far.

In a statement on Tuesday, the band said on their website that they will appear at Craven Park in Hull for two dates before performing at Wembley Stadium in August.

The band said Hull and London are the only two cities in Europe where they will be appearing next year, with a mystery guest to be announced.

Fans will be rushing to get tickets but they are expected to be flying at the speed of sound - so you will need to be quick!

Here is everything we know so far to help you be as prepared as you can to secure your tickets.

Where can I get tickets?

The tickets will be available to be purchased through Ticketmaster, AXS and See Tickets.

Pre-sale tickets will be available on 26 September 2024 at 09:00 BST and will only be available via the Ticketmaster website.

General sale, for all ticket vendors, begins at 09:00 on 27 September.

Ticketmaster has shared some handy tips on how to secure tickets when the day rolls around.

How much do tickets cost?

General admission standing tickets are priced at £100 for the Hull and Wembley dates and the seats for both venues will start at £50 each rising to £175.

Coldplay will also be selling what are being described as Enhanced Experience tickets, which include things like backstage tours, at a cost of £199 for Hull and £220 at Wembley.

A limited number of Infinity Tickets, priced at £20 per ticket, will be made available for the shows via Ticketmaster at 12:00 GMT on 22 November 2024.

How do I get pre-sale tickets?

Unless you registered for a code through the Coldplay website or pre-ordered the new album, Moon Music, then it is too late.

Fans who did register should have been emailed an access code and full instructions.

Each access code is valid for up to six tickets at Wembley or up to four tickets at Hull.

Tickets are not guaranteed and will be on a first come, first served basis with high demand expected.

Can I get a ticket if I live nearby?

Good news for local fans - half of the tickets for the Hull shows will go to them, dependent on having a HU, YO, DN or LN postcode.

This will be through Ticketmaster on 26 September 2024 at 18:00.

The 2025 Hull dates mark Coldplay's first-ever concerts in the city.

Where else are Coldplay performing?

Coldplay have some tour dates coming up next month and for the rest of the year as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour.

All the below dates are in 2024 and are already sold out.

Can I buy accessible tickets?

During the pre-sale slot on 26 September, all accessible tickets for Wembley will be available from the Wembley Box Office.

For the Hull dates, accessible tickets will be available on Ticketmaster.

Do you have to be over 18 to get Coldplay tickets?

Those who would like standing tickets need to be over 14 years old, but seated tickets are available for anyone over the age of five. All under 14’s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

How many tickets are being sold?

Though no confirmation has been made on the number of tickets on sale for the Hull or London events, Craven Park seats 12,000 people and alongside standing capacity can hold up to 25,000 people – meaning there could be up to 50,000 tickets up for grabs across the two nights.

Wembley's capacity is 90,000 - it is the largest stadium venue in the UK. This could mean up to 540,000 tickets are available across the six nights.

Where does the money from tickets go?

The band has announced that 10% of the proceeds from the Wembley and Hull shows will be donated to the Music Venue Trust.

This will support work to help grassroots UK venues and upcoming artists.

How many tickets can you buy?

London Wembley Stadium events have a ticket limit of six per code during the presale, and 12 per household during the general sale.

Hull Craven Park events have a ticket limit of four per code during the presale, and four per household during the general sale.

What time will the concert start and finish? How many hours will Coldplay perform for?

The Hull concerts start at 17:00 BST, and no end time has been confirmed yet.

However at recent Music of the Spheres tour shows in Europe, the band have been taking to the stage between 20:30 and 21:00 and have been playing about 21 songs across a two-hour long set.

Who are Coldplay?

Coldplay formed in 1997 and are a British band with a mix of pop and rock.

There are four members of the band, including Chris Martin, vocalist and pianist, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer and percussionist Will Champion.

They were originally called Big Fat Noises, and then Starfish, before settling with Coldplay.

Their best known songs include Yellow, Viva La Vida and Fix You and they are considered a bucket list band to see live due to the atmosphere they create.
