British fighter Fabian Edwards has signed a multi-fight extension with Bellator MMA.

Edwards, 30, is currently recovering after losing his first title tilt at Bellator 299 in Dublin.

American champion Johnny Eblen successfully defended his middleweight belt in a thrilling fight with Edwards.

Bellator could be sold in the coming months, but Edwards has decided to commit his immediate future to the MMA promotion.

Edwards has some impressive wins inside the Bellator cage against the likes of Lyoto Machida and former champion Gegard Mousasi.

After losing to Eblen via third-round stoppage, Edwards immediately said he would be targeting a rematch with the middleweight champion in 2024.

"I want three fights back-to-back next year, then I'll take the strap," Edwards said.
