Everton are making "every effort" to ensure their FA Cup third-round tie against Peterborough United goes ahead despite icy conditions in Liverpool.
A safety meeting involving the club and relevant authorities to assess the weather and travel conditions will be held at 13:00 GMT on Thursday.
The match at Goodison Park is scheduled to kick-off at 19:45 with coverage on BBC iPlayer and the Red Button from 19:35.
An Everton statement read: "At this stage the match is planned to go ahead as normal and every effort is being made to ensure that remains the case.
"We will continue to keep fans updated, and will provide more information following the meeting."
A Met Office yellow warning of snow and ice was in place across Merseyside on Thursday morning but the BBC forecasts no further snow for the day.
Temperatures are also expected to stay above freezing until midnight.
There were similar safety concerns before Liverpool's match against Manchester United on Sunday but the game when ahead as planned..
Meanwhile, the Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool was postponed because of the weather conditions caused by Storm Darragh in early December.
