Bath staged an impressive comeback to secure a bonus-point win over Ulster in a gripping Investsec Champions Cup Pool 2 opener at the Rec.

Ulster led 14-8 at half-time after Billy Burns and Nathan Doak tries cancelled out Joe Cokanasiga's opener.

But Bath dominated the second half and regained the lead through Tom Dunn's converted score.

After Matty Rea was sin-binned, Cokanasiga secured the bonus point before Matt Gallagher's closing try.

While Ulster enjoyed a fruitful end to the first half when Burns and Doak struck in the space of four minutes, Bath thoroughly deserved the victory having held the Irish province scoreless during a dominant second-half display.

It is a third defeat in a row in all competitions for Ulster, who host Racing 92 in their second pool game in Belfast next week while Bath travel to Cardiff, who were hammered by Toulouse on Saturday.

More to follow.
