Former captain Andrew Flintoff (right) had been working with England on an informal basis during the 2023 summer

Andrew Flintoff has been appointed head coach of Northern Superchargers men's team in The Hundred.

Former England all-rounder Flintoff, 45, replaces ex-Essex and England wicketkeeper James Foster in the role.

The former England captain is recovering from injuries sustained in an accident while filming BBC TV show Top Gear in December 2022.

Flintoff joined England's coaching set-up during the white-ball series against New Zealand in September.
