British three-time Olympic champion Adam PeatyPeaty holds the 50m and 100m breaststroke world records

Adam Peaty claimed bronze in the men's 50m breaststroke final at the World Cup meet in Berlin as Qin Haiyang won gold.

Peaty, making his first return to competitive action since March at the event, had finished sixth in the 100m breaststroke final on Friday.

The three-time Olympic champion followed that up with third in the 50m race in a time of in 26.98 seconds.

China's Qin won in 26.29 and Arno Kamminga of the Netherlands was second in 26.97.

Peaty holds the 50m breaststroke world record with a time of 25.95.

Qin completed a historic breaststroke golden treble - winning the 50m, 100m and 200m events - at the World Championships this summer.
